The scientific objectives of the conference are organized around five plenary lectures:
Colloidal Physics: what are the connections between confinement and colloidal physics?
Polymer Blends: What is the impact of confinement on the macroscopic dynamics of Polymers? We would like a general review on the notion of dynamical heterogeneity in polymer blends as a function of time scales and length scales.
Microfluidics: We would like to get a general review of microfluidics basis and microfluidics applications to the fields of materials synthesis, rheology, porous media or high throughput analysis.
Biological systems: We want to understand the statistical physics of biological macromolecules in constrained environments and how biology and physics can help each other.
Glass Transition: what is the physics of glass transition in polymers? We are particularly interested in the effect of confinement on the polymer dynamics and on the glass transition temperature.
